Dear (Recipient’s name & Title),
The purpose of this letter is to recommend Veronica Levin for enrollment in the nurse-practitioner adult geriatrics program in your institution. Miss Levine is a dedicated, hardworking, resilient, and ethical person. This characteristics make her stand out in all her professional activities. To begin with, Miss Levine has been working at my hospital as a registered nurse during the last three years. During this time, she has displayed exemplary human skills as well as technical skills. She has indeed stood out as a resourceful member of our nursing team. Her exemplary human skills have enabled her to perform duties effectively. In addition to this, she has portrayed good leadership skills in directing the junior nurses who join the hospital as she was responsible for overseeing the work of new nurses. She did this by regulating induction programs for the nurses to help them understand all day-to-day activities assigned to them and the delivery of services to patients. These skills are vital in managing the responsibilities that come with being a nurse. It explains why she has been successful in terms of relations with patients, coworkers, and higher authority.
Veronica works well under little supervision and has always performed her duties to the best of her ability. In comparison to other nurses, she is an outstanding performer she is performs to her best and stands by her decisions regardless of the consequences who does her best to excel against all odds. In the rare occasions when mistakes happen, she is always ready to do everything within her ability to put in place the necessary corrective measures, even if it means taking the blame for her boss somewhere along the way. The success in taking charge of situations when things seem to be going wrong is a reflection of her intellectual ability to engage in abstract reasoning, think conceptually, and formulate mature judgments both verbally and in writing. Consequently, she has succeeded in maintaining professional, supervisory, and social relationships in our workplace quite effortlessly. These abilities greatly contributed to the management’s decision to give her a leadership position. My observation during Veronica’s stint as a leader is that she has immense potential to impact a large group of professionals in any workplace. The acquisition of graduate education will greatly enable her to enhance her technical and conceptual skills, thereby setting on the path of excellence in critical judgment, leadership, and professional excellence.
During her time in our hospital, Veronica has considerably improved her ability to apply academic skills. This is due to the exposure to different patients with different medical conditions. In the initial stages, she was working under supervision but she has acquired skills over time and can now do her job effectively. In addition to inducting new nurses, she also supervises a group of nurses. Thus, no doubt should linger regarding her ability to meet intellectual and emotional demands of a graduate professional education. In fact, I am confident that the education will enable her to develop her skills in many areas especially her self- awareness and self- evaluation. These two elements are vital in the nursing industry as the nurses have to make many decisions that require intuitive thinking. By developing these areas, she will greatly improve her decision making skills. Moreover, she will gain new insights in regards to the conceptualization of mature judgments. After all, it is imperative that nurses make the best decisions since they ultimately affect the life of a patient. I have no doubt that she will enhance these skills through the nurse-practitioner adult geriatrics program in your institution. I conclude by reasserting my decision to recommend Veronica Levin for enrollment in the adult geriatrics program in your institution.
Yours Sincerely,
