GimnazijaKranj Symphony Orchestra concert performance

Symphony No. 9 in E minor, “From the New World,” Op. 95 B. 178 or the New World Symphony that was created by Antonin Dvorak. It was portrayed as one of the most admired of all masterpieces in the world. I think that the GimnazijaKranj Symphony Orchestra concert did a fantastic performance. It has the necessary actions to gain my attention and a particular achievement of movements. The GimnazijaKranj Symphony Orchestra performed so remarkably to me. The performance was so powerful, and I really enjoyed it. It is a classic performance that lasts a little over 40 minutes. The sections of the orchestra are arranged into four groups of strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion. This piece has four movements; the first movement was Adagio—Alegro molto in E minor scale, which means slow to swift tempo in Italian on a scale base on E, F sharp, G, A,B,C, and D pitches. It is used to change tempo patterns in the music.

This movement starts with an introductory theme in Adagio by the cellos, viola, and the double bass persuasively performed a tone of the piece through different keys from 00:00 – 0:24. From 0:31 – 0:53, the flutes, oboes have slowly introduced a sense of wonder and a feeling of hope. As when the flute, oboes, clarinets, horns, trumpets, and the strings played, it sounds so violent and extremely dramatic chords. The central theme arrives playing by the horns with a few notes increasing, and after that phrase, the clarinets and flutes playing the first theme and the oboe play the piece again. A bridge that leads to the second theme and the scale start to get faster and faster—2:45 As the second theme turns into a G minor: with violins using an orchestra texture. Then the second theme splits with the violins, clarinets, and bassoons. Later it changes to a bright G major; then, the string leads the bridge to the third theme,in which the cellos, oboes, and the flutes areindependent thought out the piece. 4:49, the music continues to play very dramatically until the Recapitulation of the first theme in E minor. Then the bridge to the second them that was much shorter and revised, followed by an inversion of the falling scale. 7:13 A bridge of string leads to the third theme as the trumpets take over them, and the trombones are being heard underneath the trumpets to an A major scale ended with the coda.
The second movement is the Largo, meaning slow, dignified. It begins with a remarkable harmonic succession of chords in the woodwind sections. 10:59 As the first theme starts with a solo of the English horns and strings, followed by chords. 15:26 Unexpectedly, the music is stopped by a heartwarming melody in the oboe sections as the tune continues throughout the orchestra before exploding into a tutti chord with intentions from the first theme. All the pieces from the previous movement are interconnected with each other. The first part is reduced to a trio of violin, viola, and cello then all the strings joint. Then the violins play a rambling pentatonic scale that leads to the initial chord sequence that finished the movement with a gentle chord.
The third movement is the Scherzo- molto vivace means very lively. The first theme of the Scherzo is the opposite of the second theme. It is rapid and furious using hemiolas, while the second theme is more relaxed and confused. The Scherzo first theme recurs immediately followed with a hazy sluggish piece that transforms into a trio. The trio’s first theme is quiet, with irregular beats. And the trio’s second theme is joyful and energetic. After the scherzo segment has been repeated, the coda compares the scherzo theme with the original composition of the first movement and finishes on a marked with a tutti minor chord.
The fourth movement is the Allegro con Fuoco means fast and fiery, which is wonderfully portrayed by the trombones and trumpets, marked by tutti chords. After the strings repeat chords, the music hurries into a swing bridge, which drops and then goes into the second theme. Which is a calm solo by the clarinets, and the strings keep disrupting, and then took over and ending the theme. When the second theme starts and gets disrupted by the first theme of the first movement in the brass section and produces the same music from the bridge. The piece uses the ideas to perform all the way through several keys before the change to a tutti style from the first theme of the recapitulation section. More than a few solo instruments play the piece as a bridge to the second theme. The horns play a display take the lead back to the first theme subsequent by a bridge. And the music starting the coda with dropping strings run to an annoyed tutti revision of the chromatic chords.
