Owing to the fact that the Hanover government capitalized on the expo by commissioning a new medium-scale commercial-cum-institutional development, the Konsberg housing came into being. In Zaragoza, the authorities appeared to live up to the theme of sustainability. For this reason, many developments that are coming up after the Expo 08 contain an element of sustainability in one way or the other, an indicator of an enlightened populace.
