Think of the one-page papers as policy briefs. Your assignment is to convey the most relevant information to your audience (elected officials, superiors, the public, etc) in a concise one-page format. For the first paper you will need to identify the most important aspects of your assigned assigned chemical agent or IED. For those of you assigned sarin gas, you’ll need to determine the most import information that can fit into a one-page brief–the same goes for those of you assigned an IED.
The paper must be one page, double-spaced, twelve-point font, parenthetical citations, and include a title page and a sources cited page

It is still unclear who perpetrated this heinous act but police reports attribute this to a terrorist attack that was focused on taking out one of the largest malls in the state. Police have however, detained three suspects. This act of terrorism has aroused several controversies with the major one pointing out that one of the extremist groups is bent on crippling the US economy by attacking the projects initiated by foreign investors. Higher levels of international and domestic terrorism have the potential to hamper economic growth, to a great extent (Abadie&Gardeazabal, p.20). In the wake of these bombings, a wave of uncertainty, fear and confusion among citizens and international key players alike has erupted with many shifting the blame to the government and law enforcement agencies. An attack of this magnitude has happened at the worst possible time amidst the peace talks that are being held by United Nations to bring about harmony and coherence worldwide.

This goes to show that there is a need to intensify the fight against terrorism and the government should establish a functional framework with its partners as well as with the Department of Homeland Security to diminish terror threats and readily defend citizens against potential threats that result in unquantifiable losses (Kahan1). Furthermore, it is prudent to improve international information sharing networks to neutralize impending attacks by procuring vital information from allies beforehand (Kim et al. 79).
