The main reason why I have chosen to undertake an MBA is to raise my job prospects in today’s job market that is highly competitive. Not only will I develop specialized management skills and acquire knowledge after taking this course, but I also want to become a desirable candidate for many employers today. Today, some employers value MBA courses so much that they are willing to fund them Baruch & Leeming, 2001).
ORDER A PERSONAL STATEMENT
The world of today can be regarded as global and homogenous. Many global challenges continue to bring about fragmentation and differentiation in the way people live their lives. The transition from the industrial age to the information age has heralded a new era whereby qualifications and ability to head global-based businesses matters most.
An MBA course reflects the changes that are taking part in both public and private spheres as far as the task of doing business in the information age is concerned. I find it necessary to further my education through an MBA in order to have a competitive advantage over other people who, like me, want to begin their careers in business management.
My main motivation for pursuing an MBA is the need to establish my role in today’s fast-changing world. I would hate a situation where my skills become obsolete, rendering me unemployable. My awareness of all changes in global management trends and their powerful implications on my career path also inject a sense of urgency in efforts to earn this degree.
Today, the global village is being defined, first and foremost, in terms of business and economic implications. Without changes in the business and economic atmosphere, one may not be convinced that we live in a global village. Globalization creates competition for skills, knowledge, and experience. This implies that the more qualifications one has, the better placed he is to get a good job. Acquiring an MBA is a key strategic career benchmark for many people. This is the reason why this course has become immensely popular today. I consider an MBA to be an essential requirement for me to stay relevant in the business management and administration spheres.
Additionally, I am sure that acquiring an MBA is a crucial step towards succeeding in the world of entrepreneurship. Even if I do not become employed in a prestigious company, there are many alternative routes to follow in order to put my knowledge, skills, and experience into proper use.
The pursuit of an MBA goes beyond a study of rigorous and complex business approaches and theories. It is also about knowing how to use these concepts in the real world and apply them in order to satisfy various business needs (Yang & Lu, 2001). However, I cannot underestimate the need to get a higher level of comprehension, understanding and knowledge on today’s realities of the competitive business world. Moreover, the ability to endure difficult course requirement is a clear indication of an individual willpower to overcome the real-life business hardships that are even harsher.
Therefore, I am convinced that the decision to pursue an MBA is a noble one. Although it is challenging, it has many rewards in today’s challenging world. I look forward to a situation whereby the master’s degree will strengthen my problem-solving skills. Additionally, I am confident that the course will let me develop effective strategies for business success.
