I have to write a concise, well written statement, identifying the cause of my low GPA and why my prior academic performance does not define my current academic ability.I’m having issues explaining that the reason I failed a class was due to my husband asked for a divorce during that semester due to my upcoming deployment. He wanted me to get out of the Army. I couldn’t concentrate or function during those months leading up to deployment and fell into a depression. Once I was in Germany my husband decided that he no longer wanted a divorce and was willing to work it out and stay together. He never formally filed the paperwork so I don’t have divorce paperwork. I feel that when he told me that he had reached a point where he was ready for me to be at home.
